In today’s technological world, converting documents and photos that are in seemingly outdated formats to digital form is extremely common. In some cases, doing so is absolutely essential for the reputation and productivity of your business. Do you have microfilm that you want scanned and converted? Are you not sure what kind of microfilm you have? Micro Records is here with more information about microfilm and microfiche conversions.
What is the Difference Between Microfilm and Microfiche?
There are several different types of microfilm, including: roll film (16mm and 35mm), ansi cartridges, aperture cards and microfiche. Microfiche, unlike microfilm, is made of a flat sheet instead of roll. Jacket microfiche is made of sleeves that can hold strips of 16mm or 35mm roll film. COM fiche (Computer Output Microfilm) can hold up to 300 frames in a single sheet. Using microfilm is a cost effective way to store documents, drawings and other information.
