Storing your documents on microfilm and microfiche will save space in the cloud, allowing your fees for cloud storage to be reduced. Micro Records conversion services will be tailored to your business’s needs. We work with microfiches that are jacketed, COM, or even 105 mm. As with any of our services, your protection is guaranteed.

Microfilm: What is it?

A microfilm is a film of images of documents. Although an analog system, microfilm is perfect for the long-term storage of important documents. Even though only one person can read it at one time, there are many situations where only one person needs to look at a document. Microfilm technology is able to store up to 2,500 document images on compact film rolls. Once backed up with microfilm or microfiche, your business will be able to reduce your paper storage by getting rid of the original hard copies.

Microfiche: What is it?

Microfiches stores photos of documents on a film, providing business owners the opportunity to eliminate original hard copies. Very similar to microfilm, the main difference between microfiche and microfilm is that microfiche allows you to add a title to the document images by sacrificing space. This title space can include any important information you deem necessary. However, instead of 2,500 document images, microfiche can only store up to 60.

The Best Choice for You

If you are looking for specific labeling of your documents, microfiche may be the way to go. It will take more film to store your documents, but your microfiche will contain pertinent information in the title space of the document image. Of course, our services provide you with the option of using a mix of microfiche and microfilm to accomplish your document storage needs. Micro Records will help you decide which is best for you and the best ways to store your microfilm and microfiche to protect your business’s future.
